The FactoryTalk® metrics/FactoryTalk® Historian classic runtime client licenses allow users to view any FactoryTalk® Historian classic and/or FactoryTalk® metrics reports interactively using Microsoft Internet Explorer®, the configuration console or ActiveX controls embedded in other applications like FactoryTalk® view. Purchase a single user runtime client license for each user who will access the system concurrently or for convenience, simply purchase one unlimited user runtime client license, which allows any number of users to connect. As required by Microsoft, the single user runtime client license includes a SQL server client access license (CAL) for the license of SQL server included with the product server. The unlimited user runtime client licenses, where noted, include a SQL server processor license for single, dual or quad processor database server computers, which allows for an unlimited number of database users. There is also an unlimited user runtime client license that does not contain a SQL server license, for those users who already have the appropriate SQL server or Oracle database licenses.
