Using a defense-in-depth mitigation approach is aligned to industrial cybersecurity standards such as ISA/IEC 62443 (Industrial Automation and Control Systems Security), and NIST 800-82 (Industrial Control System Cybersecurity Framework).

A network design that addresses cybersecurity is vital to reducing risk exposure and maintaining operational integrity.
